What We Do Not Track
Scrupulous does not track your activity, collect analytics, or build advertising profiles.
Local Documents
Your Markdown and Fountain files stay on your Mac. The app reads and writes them locally through standard macOS file access instead of sending them to a server.
Preview and Export
Live preview, PDF export, and printing all happen locally. If you choose to export a file, Scrupulous writes it to the destination you select through the save panel.
Quick Reference
Built-in help and quick reference content stay inside the app. When future AI-assisted features are available, they are intended to stay on-device rather than sending drafts to a cloud service.
Sharing and Analytics
Because Scrupulous does not collect your data, there is nothing to sell, rent, or share for analytics or advertising purposes.
